Sweetylight was founded by a health conscious family: Manuel, Andrea and Carlos.

The three founders have realized through their extensive business travels around the globe and their years spent in the US that people have less time for a healthy diet. An ever increasing number of the population just rush through their meals that are artificially colored and flavored and have very low nutritional values and this in turn causes more diabetes, obesity and other health problems.

Since the beginnings, the founders always wanted to do something about it. Through one of their business travels to their native country Peru, they realized that most of the health problems are not present there. As they observed and researched this finding further, they found out that Peru is one of the richest countries in super-foods and the regular consumption of these food products helps to avoid many health problems.

Peru’s climate with its variety of mountains, deserts, jungles and coastlines has created a very unique flora that provides for these extremely nutritious food products that were already known by the Incas.

The realization of these facts and their original roots in Peru provided them the idea of bringing some of these super foods to the US to other health conscious consumers.
Thus the brand Sweetylight was born with its primary product, the Yacon Syrup which is the ultimate natural sweetener.
